The foundations of radiation protection and health physics type information are the same across each jurisdiction, as is the application of the Code of Practice.
However, each jurisdiction has its own Act and Regulations and there are some differences between them all. This may be in terminology, or it could be in a jurisdiction's specific requirements.
When we designed the courses, we made sure that you had access to a course directly relevant to your requirements. The difference is only in the module on the applicable legislative requirements.
Working in other states:
If you travel to work in a different state, you can access modules on the legislative summaries of other jurisdictions via our Free Courses.
Mutual Recognition
Although most jurisdictions are participating in Automatic Mutual Recognition of a licence issued by another state/territory, it still requires you to notify them in writing when you temporarily work in another jurisdiction. Make sure you follow the processes outlined on the jurisdiction's website and check for eligibility and notification requirements.
Radiation Training has a Mutual Recognition Fact Sheet located under the Information tab when you are logged in.
Note: All jurisdictions except Queensland are currently participating in the automatic mutual recognition scheme.
