This course allows staff who hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to act as in-person Invigilators for Radiation Training courses conducted for their organisation.
This course starts with the considering in person and remote invigilation: what is invigilation and how is exam supervision conducted in both modalities. Specifically, how are Radiation Training online exams structured.
What is the role of the in-person Invigilator: this considers exam room set up, explaining exam conditions, strategies to maintain vigilance over exam rooms to prevent malpractice.
Activities to monitor during exams: what are the different ways that cheating can occur in online and in person exams, including the use of technology (browsers, smart watches and phones), introduction of disallowed resources, and more traditional forms of cheating (communication between students, notes on limbs etc).
Action if cheating suspected: how to manage the student suspected of cheating in a manner that minimises disruption to other students.
This course was designed to satisfy the requirements of Radiological Council in WA for invigilation of the Safe Use of Human Imaging Devices for Security course. It will help satisfy any Regulatory Authority that requires in person invigilation to support the online invigilation performed by Radiation Training.
There is continuous assessment throughout the course. Within a module are quizzes to check content is understood prior to moving on to the next topic. The pass mark of the quiz is 70%.
While you work through quizzes you are remotely proctored using your webcam under normal test conditions.
